Agent Gaines and Professor Duprey are forced to examine their convictions and confront their own demons in lower Manhattan four weeks after the 9/11 attacks. Its a page turner enriched with serious questions about what it means to be an American. It is based on a spec feature screenplay that was rejected as too controversial by Lions Gate Entertainment, Jerry Bruckheimer Productions, Scott Free Productions, and two prominent actor-producers whose names I wont mention in case they have a change of heart after reading the book nine years later, and it was too expensive for Butchers Run Films (Robert Duvals outfit).
