Hey everyone, I just wanted to clarify the purpose of me posting a photo of the rude comment made yesterday. I wasnt personally offended by the comment just believed it was ignorant and I wanted to show everyone the kind of even petty things that will NOT be tolerated on this page. There have been way too many rude, hurtful and ignorant people creeping not only Delaineys page but other awareness pages as well and although ours was a lot less harsh than some comments Ive seen, my point is WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THESE COMMENTS! I did not give this person nor will I give any person any attention over it, this specific person like all others, past and future was banned and the comment was deleted. Unfortunately we live in a silly world where some ppl believe color of the skin is a big deal, on my eyes I honestly dont even see it. This is by far my first encounter with racism, in fact this was incredibly mild compared to what Ive dealt with. My point was is, no matter the extent of the rudeness, it will not be tolerated. There are no 1, 2, 3 strikes youre off the page. It takes just 1 thing. This page was made to raise awareness about Trisomy 13, share Delaineys personal journey, share what life can be like living with T13 and asking for prayers, for not only Dee but other sick kids as well. Theres no room for negativity on any childs page! Thanks to those of you who made it through this rant :) Love you all!
