Hey, everyone. I know there are a lot of posts like this but here it goes. I am one of the lesser half of people who actually enjoys almost EVERY comic book/nerdy film. I LOVED the Wolverine, Man of Steel, Iron man 3, both Thor movies, the entire Dark knight trilogy (especially Dark knight rises) and yes, even.... you guessed it! Godzilla! Now, I have determined what I believe to be the reasoning behind the why? of why me and (seemingly) so few others loved these films while the majority did not. It is because people cannot seem to separate the universes. When DOFP (which I also loved) was in the works, people were throwing poop at each other because the synopsis wasnt close enough to the original comic. When it came out, more poop was thrown. This IS the sole reason (other than someone who just doesnt like movies, movies with action or movies they cannot understand) and yet, people seem to blame it on the acting or the writing... Okay. I can play ball. Either everyone has all of a sudden became a professional film enthusiast/critic or they are too lazy to write a paragraph or two on why THEY as a single individual did not like the movie. And so back to the It was terrible acting and/or writing thing. I refuse to take that as a valid statement because I have watched movies all my life and have rarely seen a big budget movie with a main cast who couldnt act. The majority of these actors portraying our favorite characters these days are brilliant and are paid handsomely with good reason. Now to the writing: I dont want to brag or anything, but... Im a pretty smart guy. It has been a rarity for me to see a big budget comic book movie that had a bad plot, plot holes or just down-right bad writing. But, in truth, when I have noticed some little things that didnt seem right, it was hardly worth writing home about. Ah, yes. We reach the conclusion of this post. AM I THE ONLY ONE AROUND HERE who just loves all of these movies!? (To be fair, I still havent seen TMNT and really dont even plan to because even the commercials make me sad.) I would like to hear your thoughts :)
