Hey everyone, I know this may be last minute and late at night, - TopicsExpress

Hey everyone, I know this may be last minute and late at night, but our team is in need of donations for the Relay For Life. Please take a minute to check out our team page. I thought I would share a little story about my mother Kelli Patocka, which is who we are relaying for. On Dec 10, 2010 she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. This news came as a shock to all of us, the first question she asked was "How long?" When she found out there was no guaranteed amount of time, she said "Lets kick this cancers ass." Mom fought harder than anyone I have ever met and never backed down from a treatment no matter how bad she felt after. The cancer was almost fullly gone with the use of chemotherapy, and then they began radiation. The cancer found a weak spot and in the end, the fight she gave wasnt enough and cancer finished it. I will not say that cancer won, because Mom wouldnt have said that and I dont feel it did. Had our mother never gotten cancer, we wouldnt be involved in this relay in the first place. Other family members have passed from cancer, but until it hit directly in our immediate family, we never truly unerstood its impact. Take a minute to think if youve ever known a family member with cancer, or a friend, or friends family. Cancer needs to be stopped, and the only way for that to happen is through research. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Brandon
