Hey everyone! I thought it would be good to write another brief update on what has been going on over the last 5 weeks – so here it is! Firstly, the lectures- they have been amazing. They have helped all of us discover more of God´s character, and what it means to live in the hope, freedom and love of Jesus as a disciple. Over the last 4 weeks, we have been learning about the importance of sharing his love with others – both practically and verbally. We have been able love and care for the people in local schools, hospitals, villages, churches and produce markets. We have also had the privilege of completing a water technology seminar over the last 2 weeks. Our team and I will now be able to build water tanks, filters, pumps, sinks and toilets for remote villages. With the help of the Fijian team, we have almost completed the building project. This building will be used for accommodation to house up to 60 people. The building has been an awesome example of the efficiency of sustainable technologies, as well as God´s faithfulness as he has provided all the necessary materials. Meeting new people I have had the opportunity to meet and build relationships with so many interesting people since I´ve been here. I have particularly loved getting to know the locals –whether that has been by dancing to island music with random old ladies in the marketplace, or talking to people by the river (it´s even better when they aren´t naked haha).I love the nature of the island culture, and I have learnt so much about the importance of being thankful for relationships. Prayer points: Please pray for our team as we reach out to the people in Thailand for our main outreach; that we may understand and adapt quickly to their culture and God´s love and power will be revealed to them. It would be awesome if you could please pray for the provision of money for our team´s flight funds as the Outreach Phase is coming up fast. Please also pray for protection for the staff and students. It is clear the enemy doesn´t like what God is doing. Thank you so much. Thanks for your messages as well!
