Hey everyone, I want to gauge some interest in something that Ive been meaning to try for a while. I have some plans to bring some more interest to film photography this term and I know a bunch of you shoot film regularly, so I figured Id announce this to get things started early. I have some larger projects in the works with the two Faculty of Environment Staff members (Don and Joe) that run the photolabs here, but for now, I want to start a little project leading up to our analog darkroom workshop. Basically, a sign-up form will be up some time soon, and in this sign-up form youll pick a slot of a couple of days in which you get to use a film camera loaded with one roll of film (likely 36exp Ilford HP5+). Youll be able to take a number of shots depending on the number of sign-ups, and once youve taken your shots or your time is up, youd pass the camera to the next person. The photos would have no restrictions, within the constraints of general laws and whatnot, of course. At the end of all this, wed have a completed roll of film which we can develop in the darkroom during the analog workshop. We can cut up the negatives accordingly and you can scan or enlarge them at will. Im planning on running the analog/film workshop by the end of this month, so Id like to get started on this small project as soon as possible. Cheers, Chandan
