Hey everyone! If you did not know already, NOVA Day is TODAY! NOVA Day is an annual event that takes place on campus where students and faculty can enjoy free food, learn about student organizations, enjoy music, and have fun all around, ALL FOR FREE! This year, NOVA Day will be taking place in the B-3 Parking Garage (upper level; Dawes Avenue Parking Garage) instead of the cafeteria. It is going to be bigger than the previous years. In fact, it is going to take them more than one day to set up and they even had to close down part of the parking garage yesterday to do that. So it is going to be big. Here is what to expect: -Free food! -Music by live bands and DJs -Money box -Contests to win free prizes -Photobooths -Facepainting -Learn about all the on-campus student organizations and interest clubs Make sure to bring your NOVA ID in order to receive the free food. CKI will be having a table at this event so please stop by if you like to learn more about our community service-oriented organization and meet the officers. For those that have been to our past meetings or events or are already eager to become members, please bring $15 in cash (exact amount please; we will have limited change) or a check/money order written out to "NVCC-Alexandria CKI" to pay your membership dues. We will also have membership application forms for you to fill out. We will also be having a fundraiser to raise money for the ELIMINATE Project. Only $1.80 is needed to make and send a vaccine that prevents a deadly disease that kills a newborn baby every 9 minutes in the world. I hope to see you all at this huge event!
