Hey everyone. It was great to see some of you at camp Whitesands this weekend. I realized I havent put an update on here for a while. That just means weve been busy as usual. Jeff has been home now for about 3 months. The first 6 weeks of that was chaos all over again. I think it is safe to say that now we feel a bit more settled. Jeff is considered an incomplete quadraplegic - this just means that all four of his limbs are affected. What he can move is his head, neck and arms. He has no movement in his hands or fingers. He continues to do therapies (physical and occupational) in Red Deer for now but we are hoping to get him moved to Lacombe come fall to save on driving in the bad winter roads. He has his FES bike for exercising at home now and he likes it lots. The doctors say that a person can get recovery up to 2 yrs after the accident - we are at the 9 month mark. There are a few muscle flickers showing up in his left wrist and thumb. Those werent always there. So we continue to hope for more strength, movement and sensation to return. Thanks so much for your prayers and love sent to us. We so appreciate you all. It was wonderful to hear that so many of you are still praying and thinking of us. It is such a privilege to be part of our church family. Right now the kids are enjoying campmeeting in Saskatchewan and they are looking forward AB campmeeting and summer camp at Foothills. Jeff and I are looking forward to a trip to Montana for a family wedding. It will be our first vacation since the accident. I will be gradually starting back to work in August sometime at a new location within the same company. This will let me get the kids to school better in the mornings. God continues to have our backs, give us peace and hope for tomorrow and we couldnt have made it through any of this without Him. Happy Summer - Karla
