Hey everyone. Its been a long time since my last post. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. Sarah is still not doing very well. Shes on dialysis every day and usually in a lot of pain. Its going on two years now since she got sick again and we discovered that her transplanted kidney was failing. That started a long and difficult journey for her, one thing after another. We have had several prospective donors and after the long testing process, just as we were waiting for a transplant date, we would find that it wasnt going to work. As her sister, it breaks my heart to see her go through this. Usually, they will only take one person at a time through the testing process. They see how much of a toll this is taking on her and expense or not, need to find her the right donor. They are now willing to test as many people that call and inquire, given they seem like a candidate after the phone interview. Obviously this isnt a small request. I know what a big deal this is. But, in desperation Im going to put the request out there anyway. Anyone that would be willing to be considered as a transplant donor, would you please call and talk to the transplant coordinator?
