Hey everyone. Most of you will have heard, there was quite a serious fire at my pub Sundowners today. The outside lapa caught fire, the cause of which is still unknown. The crazy wind today did not do us any favours. The lapa along with a few storage containers and small thatchs have all burnt to the ground. Thanks to the selfless and brave efforts of my staff Jabu, Sbu, Sebelo and Patricia along with a few people who drove by and stopped to help the main building was saved from the fire. This could have been way way worse! Sundowners for the most part has thankfully been saved! We are unsure at this moment whether tomorrow nights show will go ahead. We will know by tomorrow morning after the clean up and assessment. I just want to thank everyone for the msgs of support and concern. Worse things have happened to better people so as of right now Im trying to keep positive. I have a fantastic insurance broker and will begin our claim process from Monday. The damage will be repaired and we will move on from this! What a day!
