Hey everyone. These arent Garland shelter dogs, but hoping we can - TopicsExpress

Hey everyone. These arent Garland shelter dogs, but hoping we can help keep these poor pups out of the shelter.. A lady who is new to fostering received a plea from another rescue group. She is fostering a dog for TLC and has 3 of her own already so doesnt have room for these dogs, but wants to help. The plea the rescue group received is below: Hello, My name is Krista Marshall. My husband has joined the Military and we are unable to take two of our dogs with us. Wyatt is a 2-3 year old neutered male, brindle shepherd-pit mix. He is very loving and eager to please. He is very smart and learns quickly but he can be on the stubborn side. He is a high energy dog and loves long walks, hikes or runs. He is very fun loving and sweet. He does great around small dogs, large dogs and even cats. I believe he would do well around small children but again he is high energy and may knock them over by accident. Reeses is a 2-3 year old spayed female, red/white Australian cattle dog-pit mix. She is very sweet and more on the submissive side. She loves to be loved and will cuddle as long as you will stay there with her. She is active but not as high energy as Wyatt, although she does keep up if she feels up to it. She love to go on walks but I wouldnt say she is for a runner. She loves toys --- and believes all toys should be stuffing free. She does great around small dogs, large dogs and cats. I would not say she would be good around small children because she does on the occasion nip -- like all cattle dogs - herding is in her blood So apparently this woman is the head vet tech at a veterinary clinic and she had been boarding both of them there where she worked for the last 2 months (Im not sure why they arent with her bc they havent left yet) and that bc she had put in her notice the vet had said when she goes they have to go. She never once followed up with the rescue but brought them too an adoption event. Then decided its just easier to take them to the shelter. Other techs at this clinic reached out to them again this weekend about the fate of these dogs. Rescue person (Stephanie Thurman?) or other vet tech (not clear by message) walked over and met both of them. It breaks my heart to see them in this loud concrete kennel the side of a broom closet with NO bedding, NO toys, NO treats... Not sure how owner is not be embarrassed every day that her coworkers see how her treat your babies?!? They have until Friday and then are going to DAS... I have asked for photos and more info on dogs.
