Hey everyone! This post is going to be a little long BUT i promise it is worth the read. :) If you have any further questions about anything that is described below, please contact me or Joanna Lin through Facebook or through this email: icasp.uiuc@gmail. Do you or a person you know have two or more cultural identities, but are surrounded by experiences that only pertain to one culture? Would you enjoy an opportunity on campus that engages others and yourselves in cross-cultural workshops? Join ICASP! ICASP, also known as “Illinois Chinese Adopted Siblings Program,” is a TASC philanthropic organization that holds multiple events throughout the school year to educate families with Chinese adopted children. In the past, members of this organization (Chinese AND non-Chinese) had the opportunity to create workshops that educated children and parents about Chinese culture and encouraged discussions pertaining to cross-cultural adoption. Members outside of the workshop planning process were able to participate as a child’s “Big Sibling” or perform cultural acts during the events. If you are interested in becoming a member or a Big, please fill out the link below!
