Hey everyone! We really need help on moving these most special dogs to foster homes... It is so awful for them to watch dog after dog get to go to a foster or adoptive home and they just sit. All of them have endured horrific backgrounds and it has left some emotional scars. But PAWS New England is an awesome rescue group who doesnt just take in the easy dogs or euthanize the dogs that dont come perfect.... That is something that truly separates us from other groups. But we cant live up to our responsibility to these dogs if we dont find some folks who are willing to take in dogs that need training. Our trainers kick ass and take these dogs so far- but they cant go to the next phase without some practice in foster homes... So Im kind of on my hands and knees begging... Does anyone feel like they want to try? Please? If not- help me come up with some creative solutions to reach out and find people who are. These are good dogs who deserve to sleep in bed with a human at night. We need to set them up to succeed and we cant do that if they are spending so much time in boarding.. Here are more details on each dog: Jordy: gets along great with other dogs, incredibly loyal and loveable with his people, has some fear-aggression issues around meeting new people. We have a very specific training protocol for you to follow that make this behavior very manageable. Liberty: is a dream dog around people, but needs to be in an only animal home... How can we find fosters that dont have other animals? Liberty would be very easy if in a home by herself... Phoenix: There is NO REASON that we cant find this dog a foster home. He is a doll face with people and gets along with most mellow dogs. The only thing he cant be around is cats... Phoenix was picked up by Kevin (Julies helper) as he was being beaten to death all the way back in 2012 Kevin intervened and saved Phoenixs life. Unfortunately, he stayed at Julies for a long time after that in a smaller pen because he couldnt tolerate hanging out with a large group of dogs and then has been at Jenns house for almost a year. Please, this dog has waited forever, and is probably the easiest of this entire group. Starr: Starr was shot by a police officer while she was protecting her puppies. She gets along with pretty much all other dogs and her biggest issue is meeting new men. We have a very specific training protocol for her to follow and she does great, we just need someone to take a chance with her and help her practice outside of a boarding setup. Starr is going crazy at Jenns house, she wants her own family and she has waited almost a year for that. It is breaking Jenns heart and she really has been begging us to find a home for this girl. Starr is Phoenixs best friend if anyone wants to be a miracle worker and take two Friends... Help me, help them. Please- how can we get these dogs moved? Fill out an application for PAWS New England if you dont get a conformation email for it (it likely didnt go through received so try again) If you want I can certainly put you in contact with the right people. If nothing else please SHARE SHARE SHARE and share often.
