Hey everyone, as some of you may know, I lost my father to the most aggressive form of brain cancer a little over a year ago. My family and I have started a team to participate in the Breakthrough for Brain Tumors New York City 5K Run on November 9th. This event is yearly and was cancelled after Hurricane Sandy last year so they really need support this year. I hate to come on Facebook and beg for donations but I really do feel this is an amazing cause. One will never know the pain of caring for someone and losing someone stricken with any kind of brain cancer unless they have seen it and I want to prevent as many people from seeing it as possible. Research and development in medicine to combat this type of cancer is the only way. I want to do anything possible to help with research to keep others from the frightful experience my father and his family had to endure with this disease.
