Hey everyone below is a video of a medical relief program Im taking part in this year with many faculty members from Memorial University and Centre for Nursing Studies. We are going to be helping local people in Honduras improve their health outcomes, quality of life and become self sustainable. We will be providing medications, building hygiene stations, putting cement floors in their homes which are currently dirt floors, teaching them positive health routines, building clean water systems, providing healthcare and dental services and much more. This care is necessary as parasites are a huge problem due to their living conditions the new floors, hygiene stations, and clean water go a long way to prevent contraction and medication helps fight people already affected. Also the nearest doctor is on average a 2 hour walk from these communities. Im very excited to be part of this important movement toward global health.
