Hey everyone, hope youre having an awesome holiday week! Some quick news that may interest many of you: - There will be a New Year statement on the 3rd of January in regards to what is, and may be, happening in 2015 for Womp Wars. - As you know, Womp Wars is neither nonprofit, or profit, but simply a host. As a result, Womp Wars does not generate any form of revenue, and as such, funding and donated prizes usually come straight from the pocket of sponsors and those running the competition. Due to this issue, and a lack of capability for personal funding, Womp Wars is jumping on a funding site. Basically, this is to make the event even possible. Well work out something for those who help fund us, as it will most likely be an extra chance to be drawn for the competition or something else beneficial. In regards to expense: we have to cover the $150 membership for Soundcloud so we can upload. Anything past $150 will be used to acquire prizes, pay for advertising, general expansion, etc. Funding will be transparent and we will keep records of the money usage for viewing by those who fund the competition. More information, including the funding site link, will be posted on the New Year statement. - There were several high schoolers who competed last year. For those still in high school: is the 18th - 22nd of May your dead week? The reason why Im asking is because it will help determine how many can compete if Season 2 happens and to allow availability for you to compete. - Womp Wars is teaming up with NeverThoughtMusic for a Valentines Day themed compilation. There is NO buy-in, sign up costs, etc. However, for those who are interested in being on the compilation, we want to know which cause/charity you would like us to possibly cover for the donations, so leave a comment below with which cause/charity you recommend. More information will be posted with the New Year statement, if not before. Finally, have a good holiday! For many, it this is the time to see family, and even if your family reunions may end up like National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, it is always nice to be around those that care about you.
