Hey everyone hows the new years resolutions going??? Quick bit of advice from an old man whos seen it happen for years.... Pace yourself!! In January we tend to hit the gym like a bull and drastically change our diet in hope for overnight results. Just remember our health and fitness journey is a marathon not a sprint. Statistics show that gym usage spikes in january and declines in February and March. Set yourself realistic targets, if you are new to the gym aim for 30 mins to 1 hour a day of physical exercise 3- 4 days a week and make sensible food choices. 2 workouts a day and fad diets may get quick results but you run the risk of burning out and sickening yourself of diet and exercise. Aim to make changes to your life you can maintain, everytime you complete a workout and have a healthy meal give yourself a pat on the back, dont jump on the scales or stand in front of the mirror topless and expect miracles. Be consistantly good not ocasionally brilliant.
