Hey everyone, just wanted to do a quick update on Gabriel. He is doing well, he is still fighting his little cold but is doing a little better. Just has a small cough left. We went to the genetics doctor today at MUSC, and he found two genes that may be good candidates to explain why he has HLHS. Only one lab in the whole USA is available for testing, so they took blood from him today and are going to send it out. It takes about 3 to 6 weeks to get back. Then we will go for a follow up in 3 months. When the test comes back if it shows that they found the explanation, then they will have us come back sooner. The whole genetic thing is very confusing to me, but hopefully we can get some answers. Other wise he doesnt have another appointment till the beginning of December. We went out tonight and got him a First Thanksgiving outfit, its so cute cant wait to put it on him. So thankful to have him home for Thanksgiving. This is the first holiday he has been home and not in the hospital, so we are very excited. So many things to be thankful this year. First and foremost for God bringing him this far, for my girls they are a blessing to me and have been such a huge help,for my friends and family that have been there for us during this hard time. To our extended family (You all) for following his journey and being there every step of the way. To all the heart Mamas who gave me comfort when I needed it. We are so blessed to have each and everyone of you. I cant thank you all enough. Also, I was looking for the perfect first Christmas ornament for Gabriel and I just couldnt find the perfect one so I custom made this one (See the pics) I think its perfect! ! Thanks again for all the prayers and support. You guys are amazing!!
