Hey facebookers! Me and my twin sis Jamie Lynn Gatlin(a medic also) were talking about medics treating patients in EMS. We both have been in EMS for 20+ years. The medics who go out to treat patients to see how much stuff they can do to a pt. how much medicine you can give a pt, or how big a needle you can place in a pt, just to be a Big, bad, look at me Im the paragod paramedic. Yall! No matter how long you went through school one thing stands true: how YOU treat your patient. We go out and treat pt because this is what we were called to do, take care of people who cant care for themselves. I treat my patients as I would like to be treated, or my family treated. If its from holding a little old ladys hand and smile at her to calm her down, or incubating a patient, do it because its whats best for the pt. not what makes you supposedly look like a paragod. Paragods dont save the world. They usually make a big, fat, para ASS out of themselves! Just saying!
