Hey, fellow BMXers! Would you like to help Pay it Forward to a worthy younger rider in need of a decent, sturdy bike? Were looking to turn these two frames (one GT Zone, one Hoffman Rhythm) into a couple of decent bikes that can eventually be given away to a couple of BMXers in Need, guys that can get by with a little help from their BMX friends. Dont know when theyll be finished, or who they will go to yet, but we did something like this for a couple of little guys before and they definitely appreciated it! Heres the deal. As I said, the plan is to give these away, so Im trying to put as little into them as possible, but still have them be solid and low-maintenance. That means decent quality parts and sealed bearings wherever possible. It should come as no surprise that, if I tried to put all brand new parts on these frames that, even at dealer cost, wed be spending more on them than complete new bikes, so were looking for good-condition used parts to put them together with. Like I said, weve done this before (see second pic), and guys came out of the woodwork to pitch in parts to help out, which was awesome, so Im asking for help again. I am hoping/planning/willing to at least do a few new parts (brake cables, brake pads, grips, tires, chains) just so they will function and feel like new. I already have a few parts that have been donated, but heres what Im still looking for/needing: (1) 1-1/8 threadless fork (2) 9-tooth rear sealed hubs (or complete wheels) (1) U-brake (2) Brake levers (1) 1-1/8 threadless stem (1) 1-1/8 threadless headset (press-fit type) (1) Pivotal seat post (already have 1 pivotal seat) Thanks, BMX brethren! :)
