Hey fellow classmates! Whether I know you or not, you should check out my first blog post about selective mutism on Building Bridges website! October is selective mutism awareness month and we are trying to raise awareness of this little-known anxiety disorder. To reiterate how important this awareness is, a study done targeting a school district in LA showed that every 7.1 in 1000 children fit the criteria for diagnosis of SM! I will also be speaking at a national conference being held in Chicago later this month about my story! So please check this out!
