Hey folks - so Cathy Brennan is this horrible person who does horrible things in the world to threaten and harass trans women (and those who support them) and put trans women in danger. Basically, her playbook is exactly the same as right-wing extremist hate groups, even though she calls herself a feminist and a radical. The Southern Poverty Law Center does work to monitor hate groups and educate against violent intolerance and litigate for justice. It would be a big deal for SPLC to monitor Cathy Brennans group Gender Identity Watch because it would accurately categorize Brennans tactics as hateful, violent and extremist -- and prioritize and centralize stopping violence that targets trans women specifically. LGBT Rights is one of SPLCs core mission quadrants, so this is not an enormous jump for them. Take a second and share this petition and sign on, ok?
