Hey folks! So a few days ago, I was contacted by a representative from GoPro pertaining to the footage I used for my Katsucon and Otakon hula cam videos. Long story short, they want to license my footage and put together their own video. They want to hopefully have a cut air on their own GoPro channel. Obviously, I am very excited and flattered to provide footage for them of various cosplays with the hula cam. But not without asking you folks first! In addition, the rep asked me for contact information from as many of the cosplayers and photos that I shot with the hula cam. The contact information consists of a REAL NAME, an email, a phone number (optional), and the character cosplayed. The representative assured me the information will be strictly confidential and will be used for the sole purpose for legal documentation. Yes it is legit, Ive already started the process of reviewing my license agreement, and uploading some footage to their database. However, I do not have all the information or even contacts to provide to GoPro with all of my footage. Yes, I should have gotten some info during the cons, but who would have thought a big organization like GoPro would have contacted me? lol. I already have a good number of people on my list, but I would like to try to get ahold of nearly all of them. Therefore, I am asking anyone out there for help with identifying some of the people in both the Katsucon and Otakon Hula cam/GoPro videos. If you are in either of these videos, and/or know someone that is, please message me privately so we can discuss the parameters of the GoPro process and possibly pass the information to the GoPro representative. Oh and btw, for those of you going to NYCC this weekend, GoPro also asked me to shoot with their product again.
