With the official start of summer quickly approaching, and the fact that daytime temps have been consistently in the mid-80s, we figured it was time to give the public a gentle reminder to practice common sense regarding animals... Remember to ALWAYS provide fresh and clean drinking water. Animals can quickly become overheated and suffer from heat exhaustion. If you have to leave your pet outside in the heat, please make sure you provide them with shade. DO NOT leave pets in cars- because cracking the windows is NOT ENOUGH to keep your pet at a healthy body temperature. If you wouldnt leave your baby in a hot car why would you leave your dog there? Be cautious on hot sidewalks/pavement as they can burn your pets feet. Please utilize common sense in these hotter months, take a gander at these info-graphics and share to spread the word...
