Hey folks, heres my update following the #BCConservative Party AGM, held last weekend in #Vernon : KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Oct. 21, 2013 - #DanBrooks, candidate for the leadership of the BC Conservatives, said today that the party’s annual general meeting this past weekend marked a key milestone on the road to a strong electoral performance in 2017. “The BC Conservative Party’s AGM in Vernon was a huge success,” said Brooks. “We emerged united, with an incredibly strong board of directors to represent the many and diverse regions of our great province. “All in all, our party has taken an exceptionally positive step in preparation for the 2017 provincial general election.” Brooks also said that he was gratified and encouraged by the favourable response from party members to his speech on Saturday. “I outlined my three policy objectives – fiscal responsibility, rebuilding the economy of rural British Columbia and decentralizing decision-making by empowering grassroots British Columbians – and received wonderful, positive feedback from the delegates,” said Brooks. “In particular, one of the key messages in my speech – party unity – was very well- received.” That message: “If we are to ever form government, we must first prove to the people of BC that we can govern ourselves.
