Hey folks...my dog was diagnosed in January with SARDS..I live in The Yukon and there is no canine opthamologist. I had pictures of his retinas emailed to 2 opthamologists who came back with SARDS...vets in my area are completely unhelpful...he does have other symptoms of panting, weight gain, lethargy, increased thirst....hard to know though cos the weight gain could be the result of not being able to see where hes going....and lethargy could be cos he cant see, and feeling depressed, nevertheless, can you please give advice on what I should be doing for him i.e. Plechner or the other? What is involved? What do you feed your dog? I feel somewhat overwhelmed with all of this. If I knew of some regimen that could make him feel better, I would do it, but frankly dont know where to start because it seems everyone does something a bit different...hence me feeling overwhelmed.
