Hey folks, we had a great Thanksgiving Celebration and Love Feast tonight at First Baptist Church Galveston, Texas! There are many in our congregation (and outside of it) that rarely get recognized or thanked for the work they do at our Church, yet without them our Church would not be as blessed as it is. I want to personally thank those who many never hear of who serve in the background at FBCG, carrying loads that many dont realize they carry. I also want to thank those that many know but dont realize what they do for us. These people dont do it for mans recognition, yet as a body it is only right that we should acknowledge them and their service. Those people are: Frederick Lennen Jan Romp Zeb McDowell All those in Kingdom Ministries who serve and take care of the facilities Lela Samuel Freddie All those who come together and make up our kitchen staff All the Sunday School Teachers All the Deacons and their individual ministries Mathen Samuel Our Church Librarian John and Margaret Tindel Ben Ramier Daisy Wittjen Those who support and contribute to the AMP It Up - Galveston, Texas program behind the scenes Larry our Bus Driver Kelsey and Laurie Maxson Kristin Sanders and any other volunteers that have helped with operation Shoe Box The Jolly Elders Franklin Rusty Carnes III and his wife Lisa Bert and Diane Hervey Ken and Mary Mathis Danny Jaramillo and his family (Doris and Casper) Brad Heller Kathy Whatley Miss Lola Kathy Hooks Andrea Dimet Ryan Bart Meador Josanne Smathers Chris who helps with A/V Robert and Christie Teague Sandi Scott Frank Foster Joe Bali Gregory Samford And all those who are involved in the various committees that give guidance to the Church Ive probably missed some and if I did I will find out and give thankful recognition to them as well. But for now, praise the Lord for these people and may God bless all of them. Without them and the roles they play we would not have such a wonderful Church. Thanks guys. Sandi and I appreciate all of you and you have made being a member at First Baptist fulfilling and a sheer joy. Amen.
