Hey forever family :) hope have had a great week and all are enjoying their weekend. So another update for you all :) Remember Miss Rosie? Hear we are 6 weeks on...first 2 photos without rug on were taken on day one and then today with saddle on out in the round yard and lastly after a good old pamper session with poppy holding her so mummy could take a photo :) We took rosie out into the round yard on Wednesday to see how she would respond, without saddle or bridial. Gave her a chance to get the feel and listen to us, of course being an ott she just thought she had to run ( you would think being a bit older would slow her down lol) for the first 10 minutes she galloped her heart out thinking thats what we wanted and couldnt understand she could come down in pace and just plod around. After she realized there was no expectations she just glided through her strides like a champion with her ears pricked listening for praise and direction :) we then focused on lead work, her following on voice commands...for her first attempt she did brilliantly. Today however was another stepping stone, saddle and bridle went on...this is a slow process before you would ride any horse but again for rosie to get the feel and understand the process. Naturally the girth was tightened and she just switched on running mode after a couple of pig roots from feeling fresh she looked over as if to say sorry mum bless her. We had a great 30 minutes in the round yard which we worked on voice commands, breaking gates, paces and ground work with and without lead following :) rosie is such a gem to work with and the bond we havd formed is fantastic. So very proud of her efforts :) we followed on with a nice pamper session, shampoo and bum scratch (her favorite) she also got her new rug tonight after all of her hard work to match her saddle blanket and head collar(mummys a tad leopard print obsessed) well done beautiful girl mummy is so so proud of you, your a gem and we feel very honored to have you in our forever family ♥
