Hey friends, I have always known the Indian govt to be corrupt, inhumane, unjust and always in the midst of some messed up conspiracy. And I suppose until something significant happens to someone with in our own families or friends, we can only just sympathize and be empathetic. A Canadian born family goes to India to expand their childrens mind in terms of their roots and meet their grandparents for the first time, who happen to be in their late 90s. Manpreet Gill and his family were celebrating his daughters birthday in Chandighar, only to have the police barge into their home, claiming to be CBI and arresting him suddenly out of the no where. He was thrown in jail and profoundly tortured for some crime that he didnt commit.. please check out the full story at helpsavemanpreet Manpreet is one of my good friends brother in law.
