Hey friends! Ive got something super exciting to share with you. The Storytellers is a contest that Stephenie Meyer, the author of the Twilight saga, and a group of extremely successful women in the film industry are putting on. Its an amazing opportunity in which undiscovered female writers and film makers can get a chance to show their stuff. Right now, the contest is in a voting phase on the top 40 screenplay outlines. These outlines are centered around the origin stories of some of the favorite Twilight series supporting characters. And Im so excited to say that one of my submissions is in the top 40 out of 1200+ submissions. If I get voted into the top 20, I receive a prize of $500, but more importantly, I get to expand my screenplay outline into a full length screenplay and send it to them. This is all in hopes that itll make it into the top 5 winners and then be made into a short film (and then Id receive a nice little prize of $3000). I know its inconvenient that you have to create an account in order to vote, but I hope that that wont discourage you too much!
