Hey friends and fam! Just wanted to share an update: Im at Harborview (Seattle) hospital getting the best care possible. I have an awesome ankle specialist on my case - they couldnt do all of the surgery on Thursday due to infection of my ankle, so Im on a personalized cocktail of antibiotics, conjured up by the troupe de force of infectious disease doctors/experts. Hopefully nothing further grows (microbes in my ankle), and Ill get the surgery later. It would have been nice to have it buttoned up this go around, but you cant put hardware into an infection, so we will wait. At this point, my ankle is now in the right placement, and I get to go home Monday! I have plans to crochet and polish up on my Spanish, as well as watch all those tv shows everyone talks about that I could never comment on because I had never heard of them. I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE LOVE. Thanks for caring enough to send along the good vibes! Huge hugs, Laura
