Hey gang! Just wanted to let you know while Im still pretty beat up and bed ridden most of the day, I am improving, and I am so thankful to report that we are making progress 😀 I feel about a million times better than the last 4 weeks. My home treatments are going well, and if all goes well Ill be able to end them and have my picc line removed next week. Recovery can be tough, especially with the meningitis complications to the lyme diagnosis, but they are confident after the heavy treatment cycle of IV meds that I wont pass it on to the baby, and should continue to feel better as the days go on. Theres no exact science as the bacteria from lyme has a funny way of hiding in your body even after treatment, and flaring up down the road. Not to mention there isnt a lot of research into expectant moms being infected with this rotten disease. At this point Im just thanking God (and the medical team at Geisinger) for finally getting a diagnosis, and for my pain and other symptoms getting a little better each day 🙏 I thank you all a million times over from the bottom of my heart for your support, prayers, and patience with me. Its been a scary process for myself, and my family, and my support system (including you!) has been my savior and keeping me sane through it all. I will be slowly returning to work as I migrate everything over to my laptop so I can work while I rest. Please feel free to begin contacting me directly again, just understand I wont be able to work at my normal pace. At this point I dont intend to start physically working until the end of August/beginning of September when Ive given my body a chance to recover, and the treatments to work.
