Hey guys! Here is an opportunity to help: Until this past November, a friend of mine, Victoria Graham was a successful pre-med student at Eastern University, as well as a member of the women’s soccer and lacrosse teams, a leader in Eastern’s CollegeLife, and a part-time nanny. In seventh grade, Victoria was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a rare genetic connective tissue disorder that usually stops people with the disorder from playing sports. In November, Victoria had to withdraw from Eastern after suffering from constant, severe headaches, memory loss and cognitive issues, tingling and numbness in her arms and legs, vertigo, dizziness, and a host of other symptoms- all signs of Chiari malformation. Because of instability in her joints, Victoria’s brain connects with her vertebra at an acute angle, compressing her brain stem and blocking blood flow. Though there is no cure for EDS, Victoria will undergo a surgery on April 7th during which her skull will be opened up, reset on her vertebra, and screwed into place. The cost for the surgery is over $45,000. SAAC is selling bracelet’s to help with Victoria’s cause. The cost is $3 and they come in both small and large. Contact me if you would like one. If you would like to make a donate without a bracelet, see below: gofundme/6xerjc Thank you all for your help and support!
