Hey guys. I felt the need to write this message after hearing about some incidents and issues that have occurred lately among our friends and fans. There have been people who have felt dissapointed in us and the way we do things. There is an ongoing discussion about if we have become greedy and/or disrespectul towards our listeners. There have been people who have left our shows disheartened and sad because of the way you guys treat each other. There are a few things I need to say about this. We do this, the music, because we believe we have a gift. In a sense, we have been given something that is not meant for us but ‘for us to GIVE’. So, believe me, we feel we do this for the right reasons. If we wouldn’t, we would have stopped long ago. We do it for the love and not for the money. That said, it’s a fact that we operate in a world where it’s harder and harder to make a living with music. We all struggle because the artist shares are going rapidly down and the expenses are nevertheless on a constant rise. As you have probably noticed, it’s a challenge for everyone in the business. It’s a constant battle. And it can get tiring. Many have thrown in the towel. Because of you, we are not there yet. Your support has made us confident, ambitious and we feel that there is some juice left in us. Thus we think that it’s still worth trying to make the best VHB music possible. We are ready to take big risks doing it. Why? Not least because we try to give back everything you guys have given us with your support. Actually and honestly, we try to give even more than that because you deserve it. You all do. Regarding the other issue, I know I am nobody to tell anyone how they should behave in their day to day lives. But if and when you come to see us play, it would mean a lot to us, if you could treat each other with respect and love. We are doing everything we can to treat you equally. You all mean a lot to us. Every single one of you. To us, you guys are all equally important. Each person, who has made the effort to come, listen and talk to us has a place in our hearts. From my part, if I’ve ever offended anyone of you, in any way, all I can say is that I’m sorry and that you can rest assured; I did not mean it. This is the message. This is our message. We’re all in this together, so let’s not forget to respect each other. Peace. m
