Hey guys! I understand if you couldnt make the study today, so heres what we went over. Seven Commitments for Christians. 1. Committed to Prayer. So this is how we talk to God. Prayer. God listens ALL the time because he is committed to us! He cares about your missing sock to some big project you may have. Hes always listening, and its the best way we can build a relationship with God. So dont stop praying! 2. Committed to Serve Others. As Christians, we are called to serve at all times for all people. Yeah, its hard and sometimes it seems like its nothing. But God works in everyones hearts over anything we do! Sometimes, all people need is a smile to change their day for the better. So lets serve others no matter the cost. 3. Committed to Scripture. The Bible is our handbook, so to speak. It tells us everything we need to know. If we dont read it frequently, then how can we grow in Christ? 4. Committed to Obedience. How often does God call us to do something that doesnt even make sense? Well, to be honest, it happens a lot. Gods gonna call you to do something that may seem ridiculous or even embarrassing, but its all for his glory and there is a meaning behind it all. 5. Committed to Physical Well Being. So this one isnt too big, but its still an issue. If we arent physically able to do Gods work because we are lazy, then does God let that slide? I dont think so. God calls us to do so much and we have to be ready to do it! 6. Committed to Following Christ. This one kinda ties in to obedience. We have to be willing to follow Christ no matter the cost. Sometimes, its gonna cost us friendships, and sometimes its gonna hurt. But if you are devoted to Christ, everything will be fine in the end. 7. Committed to Character. What is Character? Its what we do behind closed doors. If we are fake when no one is looking, then we are fake at all times. We are Christians 24/7, not just in front of people. Follow Christ at all times.
