Hey guys! Im a long-time member of LivFit, occasional poster. 😉 Im throwing this up here today because I want to share with you something you might totally be able to relate to! This morning my alarm buzzed at 4am, as usual. And, as is the custom, my sleepy brain went thru a whole litany of reasons why I should keep snoozing instead of getting up to eat & workout. Im so tired. Ill be too tired to think straight at work today. Ill just lay here for another 20min. Ill work out this evening instead. Maybe skipping one day isnt so bad, etc... The thing is, I now know the answer to each of these excuses, so Im no longer so easily fooled. Ill be wide awake by the time I get downstairs. A cup of coffee will keep me sharp at work. If I lay here any longer, Ill fall back asleep for another 2 hrs (nice try!) After work Ill be even more inclined to skip the WO. And finally, YES! Skipping one day IS SO BAD! Thats how I packed on 10lbs the past couple months! So, I dragged myself out of bed, prepared my preWO meal (as shown), and now Im going to head to the gym for my chest/tricep lifting session, for heavens sake! 💪 If you find yourself battling excuses in your mind, youre not alone! It happens to even the most seasoned athletes. Stay strong. And most importantly, stay consistent! As my girl Rebekah Lydon recently reminded me, slow & steady wins the race... #noexcuses #maketodaycount
