Hey guys! Ive got a question. I found a 75 MT250 Elsinore thats a little rough and is mostly apart that Im trading a running DT125 for. When I kicked it over to see what the compression was like it felt like the kick starter slipped on the gear. When I pushed the starter down with my hand it made about 4 or 5 rotations, and then would slip. I did it a few times and every time on the same rotation it would slip and then catch right at the very bottom. Im assuming it must be a gear thats missing a tooth or maybe a few. So, what is it? How severe of an issue is it? If it is the gear, do I run the risk of stripping it further? Im hoping its one of the gears behind the crack case? Let me know if have any insight. I appreciate it.
