Hey guys! My name is Lauren Buisker (its pronounced like the bis in biscuit). And yes, Biscuit is one of my nicknames. I dont have a roomate yet but definitely would like to get to know some of you! Here are some facts about me. 1. Im from Volga, SD -- its a small town about five miles west of Brookings, so Im not going too far away from home. 2. Im planning on double-majoring in Speech Communication and Political Science, and I hope to go to law school after I get my undergrad. 3. I would like to live in Honors. I love the learning environment there and studying in that particular program is really important to me. 4. Im pretty artsy-- I love being involved in band, choir, and oral interp in high school, and I hope to join at least one of those groups during college. 5. Im also sporty. I was extremely active on my HS volleyball team and still play basketball as well. Because I dont plan on participating in sports during college except for intramurals, I will need friends that will motivate me to get my butt out of bed and go to the gym, and I wouldnt mind a workout buddy either! 6. The reason I need to go to the gym so badly is because food is my passion, and I love it WAY more than I should. Ill never be opposed to Chinese, McDonalds, or anything that involves food, really. 7. And I LOVE coffee. Whether its Starbucks, Caribou, or Cottonwood, you name it, Ill drink it! 8. Im also involved in National Honor Society and Student Council, so community service and leadership play a great role in my life. 9. Im pretty disorganized and on any given day you can expect some of my stuff to be on the floor, but I dont want to live in filth. 10. I am super social, almost to the point of where Im a nut. But hey, at least Im not boring! :) Anyways, I cant wait to make SDSU my home, and I am super excited to meet new people!!
