Hey guys! My name is Marlee and today I got a young Savannah Monitor from a Petco (I know, booooo lol). I wanted to get some opinions on if this animal is unhealthy like I am thinking, or if I am just worried for no reason. To me, the animal looks undernourished and dehydrated, which is the reason I purchased it. He had been at the store for several weeks and seemed to be getting worse, even though the store employees swore he was eating extremely well. This is my first large lizard (I have kept medium sized such as Bearded Dragons and Blue Tongued Skinks, and have cared for Savs previously but have never owned one).I have read the care-sheets on these guys and believe I can create a great home for it. If you guys have any tips on how to get this guy healthy I would greatly appreciate them! Here are some pictures of him and his temporary quarantined setup. Thank you guys!
