Hey guys, Please don’t dismiss this as spam. I’m an actual UC student and I invite you to take 30 seconds to read about a new club I made. I have started the UC Entrepreneurial Club. Are you interested in business down the road but not an actual Rotman business student or just want to add some extracurriculars to your university experience? The UCEC aims to provide all students with an opportunity to gain first-hand business experience. As a club, we will plan, budget and run several events every year. Examples of events include a t-shirt sale during Frosh (see t-shirt examples below), Krispy Kreme sales, dodgeball tournaments and raffles. On top of running these events, at meetings, you will be able to talk about businesses, potential start-ups and stocks. We will also try to get guest speakers such as successful UofT alumni to come in and speak. Meetings will be once every 2 weeks and events will aim to be every month or second month. We will accumulate profits to sustain our club, but we will also donate some of our earnings to charity. So the commitment is small and the reward is large. If you are thinking of joining a club this year, I strongly recommend you to try it out. If you have a great idea, come in and pitch it and you may end up leaving with a business partner! And plus, it’s a great resume booster!
