Hey guys, if youre staying over the winter break in Korea and want to get some work experience in a think-tank, my department in the East Asia Institute is looking for 2 international interns for the winter session. Applications close on Sunday the 14th of December not on Thursday the 11th like the ad says. So Ill get IT to fix that on Monday. Otherwise here are the details and by the way the two interns will be working directly with me. Department 1. Peace and Security Research Unit Department Description Conducts research projects on the effects of the changing world order in military and security issues, as well as regional relationships in East Asia. It oversees the activities of the Middle Powers Research Team, National Security Panel, and China Research Panel. Job Description - Basic data gathering for the U.S.-China Relations (UCR) project. - Participation in conferences, roundtable discussions, forums, and weekly intern seminars. - Providing logistical support for institute activities. Eligibility This internship is open to all undergraduate and graduate students who are currently studying political science, international relations, economics, sociology, and public administration. *High level proficiency in English is a requirement and PC skills are also necessary. The working language of the institute is Korean, so Korean language skills are an asset but lacking this does not preclude an applicant for consideration.
