Hey guys, just wanna point out an adventure that our team in Australia is currently undertaking. We are at this moment riding almost 4000km from Ballarat Victoria to Port Douglas in Queensland. This is from the bottom to almost the top of Australia. We are undertaking this journey to raise awareness and funds to help save the Great Barrier Reef and highlight the issues it is facing. We are into our 3rd day of our trip and have covered 650km in the previous two days. We are riding a recumbent trike with a small 250w electric motor that we use for hill climbing and starting from a stop. The chromoly frame with its resin infused carbon and kevlar fairing weighs around 40kg without our batteries. The vehicle was built as a collaboration between gtrikes (gtrikes.au) and our team and is the result of 10years of vehicle development. Average speeds so far have been between 50-55kmh with a top speed in excess of 110kmh.
