Hey guys...theres something I need to touch on. I have a few friends out there who honestly love helping animals and love them like children. Well, if ever, for any reason, you need to turn one over to a dog rescue facility, be sure and document conversations with them. Otherwise, slander is a great possibility, especially when funds are being raised for treatment of the animal. It happened and is still happening to my friend. Now she is getting terrible texts from the facility owner. They posted it on their page and allowed people to threaten her with bodily harm. Myself and a few others came to her defense and people still judged and condemned her...Simply for doing the right thing in order to save her dog. She did not mistreat or abuse her animal. Heres what happened: She woke up, middle of last week to the horrific scene of her little dog being mauled by her bigger one. She tried to get help from the KC animal shelter and they turned her away. She then went to the dog rescue place and they said they would treat the dog under the condition that she relinquish her rights to it. So she did. Not because she wanted to but because she didnt have a couple thousand dollars laying aside. They then posted it with slight implications and vagueness. Thats when the nightmare started. When people judged, based on the minimal info given, not once did they come to her defense. Then they started saying that the wounds are possibly older than she said, basically calling her a liar. Again, harsh judgements from the public. Then they removed a bad review from her friend so that they have a spotless reputation, meanwhile, she did what was her ONLY option to keep the little dog alive. Where did this go wrong? Why are people SO mean? I stand by her and hope many arent deterred by this experience. I myself, will not be rescuing any more animals, due to this.
