Hey guys, this is just a general shout out to Trade Smart University. My wife has been through their FOSO (Foundations of Stocks and Options) and just about every course they offer multiple times. In just over six months she has learned through losses, loads of interaction with the instructors, actively participating on their message boards, and is now profitably trading. I know many of us have been taught trading is dangerous, the stock market is risky, and a whole lot of other really encouraging messages on why we shouldnt talk about wild animals like bulls and bears. This is also true for brain surgeons, pilots etc, extremely dangerous, very risky, but with the proper education, a lot of hrs in practice and emulators, they manage to do amazing things. Funny that most people who discourage us are many times uneducated on the matter or have failed to stick with something longer then a day to be authoritative. Its like the story Jim Harbaugh shared with our company about the girl who was cooking ham at thanksgiving and cut a third off before she cooked it. Her husband asked her why she did that, and he said well, because my mother always did. So she called her mom and asked why she did that, and her mothers response was immediate, because my mother always did. So she called gramma and asked gramma, why did you always cut a third of the ham off? Well thats an easy answer, because our oven too small to fit the whole thing! Sometimes we make decisions because of how things were done in the past, but it doesnt mean they need to continue! Stocks, options, and ForEx can be dangerous, but with proper education, paper money (virtual practice) you can limit your losses and learn to trade. I just wanted to pass on this bit of info because it has greatly impacted our family. Since I work a lot and she is home with the boys, now she has a way to have our money work for us. All it took was education. Check it out, they have a scholarship for beginners to see if its something you would be able to get down with! tradesmartu
