Hey, hey folks!! Eish my name should have been Bee! Busy, busy, busy... But its Awesome, and I praise God for it. Ok, lets look at; *«•»* Thankful Living *«•»* Being Thankful aint an optional thing for the True Believer\Christian, it should be a way of life!! Thankful living is a very conspicuous theme throughout the Word of God (Bible). Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) Did u get that? In EVERYTHiNG not some, ALL! Why?... Because this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. In other words; give thanks in Everything, not because we Feel like it, its Gods Will for those who belong to Christ Jesus... Gods Will - thats what He Wants frm us! (Its Not optional). Right, now that we got our minds wrapped around that lets carry on... God is Worthy of our Thanksgiving. Its just right that we give Him credit for every good and perfect gift He gives us (James 1:17). Also; when we are a grateful\thankful ppl of God, our focus moves frm selfishness and help us remember that God actually IS in control. We human beings are easily prone to focus on what we DONt have, rather than what we DO have. So giving thanks shifts our focus frm the wants to what we are Blessed with. Ephesians 5:19-20 also urge us; speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for [ALL] things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Yip, that reiterate the fact that we are to be thankful in ALL things - Good, Bad, Big or Small, not only the things we like, but All... Dont misunderstand me... We dont thank God for bad things happening to us, or bad circumstances, or harm to us, BUT we DO thank Him that He sustain us through everything (James 1:12). We Thank Him that He gives us the strength to endure. Did u ever read the words sacrifice of praise (see Heb13:15). That is when we give thanks to and having a thankful heart towards God, even when we DONt Feel thankful. Now, thats what I would call Living a Thankful Life!! With Jesus help, let us continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glory of His Name. Have a Thankful mid-week day, A-N-D be Blessed yall!! x
