Hey its tin foil Monday, fasten your aluminum helmets! Earlier today i was poking around the Crisis Actors website at crisisactors.org/ and found the contents of the video section a bit odd. It hasnt been updated since Jan 9, 2013, but im still unclear on why those specific videos are shared there. Is it to promote why drills are necessary, or, is it a portfolio of their accomplishments? I also found it odd they were sponsored by 3D Releasing, a motion picture conglomeration out of Los Angeles. Its important we remember tele-vision exists to create a vision, and sometimes vision is necessary to steer agendas. Anyway, it would be interesting to know who runs these types of companies. Recent United States Army studies have indicated that the leadership requirements of the modern war fighting force involve several significant differences from historical experience. Some factors of particular importance to the new generation of military leaders include: (i) the broad variety of people-centered, crisis-based military missions, including counter-terrorism, peacekeeping, operations in urban terrain and the newly emphasized homeland defense, in addition to more conventional warfare; (ii) the command of and dependence on a number of complex weapon, communication and intelligence systems involving advanced technology and specialized tasks; (iii) increased robotic and automated elements present on the battlefield; (iv) distributed forces at all echelons, requiring matching forms of distributed command; and (v) increased emphasis on collaboration in planning and operations.
