Hey, just putting it out there, yes I am opening an Etsy Store, Currently I am hand sewing quilts and throw pillows, mostly brocade, and bohemian in style. I started this business 7days ago and have sewn 19 pillow covers, and 5 quilts, I must create 3 items a day. I am waiting on trimmings to arrive and batting as well but hope to be up and running February 7th. I am actually really enjoying myself and have some very pretty items that would suit in many homes and in many styles. I need to get my camera working again, because my phone camera is for the birdies. I am using remnants that would end up in a landfill somewhere so I am helping environmentally as well. I dont use a machine and I dont mass produce and would not want to. In a few days I will have some more supplies to finish the ones I have started but as I wait for the rest I will continue to create. I love that I have a gabillion choices.. also, and this is super cool, I was given my mothers manger from when we were children, it was in need of serious repair and an update, for years I just covered the ugly spots with cotton and put lights around it to hide the broken peices and the missing animals, but this year Roger bought me new figurines and I re did the whole thing, new roofing, added a palm tree , and am putting in a more authentic floor. it already looks amazing and I felt like my mom was smiling at me as I saved her manger. So glad I never tossed it out and now it will look beautiful for many years to come. Thanks Mom, I love you and miss you. always. #5
