Hey kids and parents/grandparents/teachers! Heres a challenge you can involve your children or Cree language students in! Open to residents of Cochrane and surrounding area. Announcing the I Spy with My Little Eye... Cree Syllabics Photo Challenge! Every day, everywhere, we are surrounded by shapes and objects that reminds us of something and this is the fun part: the challenge involves taking pictures of these everyday objects that resemble the Cree syllabics. Instead of taking individual photos (because that would be a lot of photos!), try pairing your observations and finds in one picture as much as you can and if you cant thats okay, too! Use your imagination and really look carefully around town and get ready to snap some photos! Collect all your syllabics and post your photos by making a link to an album or posting on here. Winner will be determined by four criteria: Best Imagination, Best Photos, Completeness of Syllabics Chart and Best Finish Time. Challenge ends on December 22nd, 2014 by 12 p.m. and winner will be announced shortly after. Prize will be two gift cards with a value of $40. Here is a syllabics chart that you can use to help find your syllabics.
