Hey, knitting folks! I have a (long) dilemma that needs your attention. Heres a photo of the blanket Ive been working on for Charlie Bird. It was inspired by (completely ripped off from) the other attached photo from Purl Soho. I tried to save some money and instead of investing in the $117 yarn for the PS blanket I purchased some equally pretty/merino/50grams Cascade brand yarn for the project. I didnt have the right size circular needles so got some from a local shop and they suggested to double up the yarn and use a bigger needle. I didnt think about how this would change the length of the blanket (but keep the width). :/ So, now I have this beautiful baby blanket but it just isnt long enough! Its currently 16x32 where it should be about 32 in length and width. I love love love the color scheme the way it is. SO! These are the options that I know of so far... 1. double up the same pattern and repurchase the same colors (which would go over the original cost that I was hesitant to invest in) 2. leave it and wrap the blanket around her twice (its super wide and would cover her for *maybe* six months) 3. I actually bought a moss green and a ruby red skien and could tack it onto the top and bottom (which would really compromise the pattern making the bottom bright and light and the top of the horizon dark and heavy) and it still would only be about 20 x 32 ... worth it? Totally open to ANY suggestion but would prefer spending less money and not re-doing it. Thanks, in advance, ladies. Im looking at Meg An S, Kari Fleck Gutstein Lauren Bruce Jessica Kaufman Kerry Neely Robyn Engel Marion Gilbert Alison Goss Eng for help!
