Hey ladies! Emily Schmidt and I are making a film this fall (a dark comedy) and we want to extend a casting call your way. This film is very centered on women so there is plenty of opportunity to be involved. Here is the info: Girls Arent Funny Productions (Cristi Rumpa & Emily Schmidt) is holding auditions for the film CROSS STITCH. The project will be filmed this fall. Some scenes will be filmed 2 1/2 hours north of the Twin Cities, at the Stone Lake, Wisconsin Cranberry Festival -- Oct. 2-5, 2014. Other scenes will be filmed in the Twin Cities with TBD dates in October and November. THIS IS A NON-UNION PRODUCTION AND THESE ROLES ARE UNPAID. You will receive a credit and catering on-set. In addition to the roles below, we are also interested in casting extras for both the Stone Lake and Minneapolis shoot. If you are interested in being cast as an extra, please send us your head shot at crossstitchthefilm@gmail ----------- Principal characters (will need to be available in October and November): JACKIE -- female, early 50s, outgoing, life of the party, tacky & brazen, up for anything. CHAD -- male, late 20s-early 30s, medium build, earnest, not the brightest bulb. HOT TUB GAL 1 -- late 50s, overweight/buxom. HOT TUB GAL 2 -- late 50s, overweight/buxom. HOT TUB GAL 3 -- late 50s, overweight/buxom. Smaller roles (will need to be available October 2-5 and can travel to Stone Lake): PASTOR -- male, 50s-60s, easy-going and charming. PULL TAB LADY -- 40s-60s, bawdy. CRANBERRY QUEEN -- female, 60s-70s, very mid-western, likes to gossip. CHADS MOM -- female, 60s. Smaller roles (will shoot in the Twin Cities in October or November. Dates TBD): SHERRY -- female, 40s-50s. TERI -- female, 40s-50s. ANNETTE -- female, 40s+ SHARON -- female, 40s+ Auditions will be held SUNDAY, AUGUST 17 from 2-6pm at Stevie Rays School of Improv (Minneapolis classroom) -- 711 W. Lake Street #304.
